Your
Ultimate Dive Encounter
210 miles off the coast of California, in one
of the last pristine sites left on the planet, Great White sharks
(Carcharodon carcharias) stalk the crystal clear waters of Isla
Guadalupe.
Shark Adventure, a division of Horizon Charters, can take you there.
Isla Guadalupe was recently named a Bio-Sphere Reserve by the
Mexican Government adding to the importance and mystery of this
unique site. Shark Adventures has been operating dive charters to
this remote outpost island since 1994. |

 |
Since the discovery of large concentrations
of Great Whites here Guadalupe has been
featured in every major dive magazine,
National Geographic, Discovery Channel
Shark Week, BBC Television, and more.
Unlike South Africa or even famed Australian White Shark sites
Isla Guadalupe is closer to home for many of our dive clients.
Why travel 5000 miles across the planet in search of Great
Whites when we have them right here in our own backyard? |
|
 |
Typical
visibility (a factor in deciding your next shark
encounter) is 100
feet.
Density of sharks from late September-late November
is at its
highest.
Typically our divers encounter sharks each and every day.
Encounters are from sunrise to sunset each day.
Sheltered shark site allows for comfortable moorings.
Size of cages we use allow for great photography.
We practice
Safe and Sane
™ shark diving.
If we are not doing it
out there, there’s a good reason why!
